About the Annual Black Nurses Day on Capitol Hill

Since 1988, NBNA has hosted National Black Nurses Day on Capitol Hill to educate the U.S. Congress on the nursing shortage, the nursing profession and health care disparities. Over 300 nurses and nursing students attend the event.

53rd Annual Institute and Conference
August 5 – 10, 2025

The National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) will be holding its 53rd Annual Institute and Conference in Dallas, Texas, from August 5-10, 2025. The event will take place at the Hilton Anatole. The conference theme is “Strengthening Communities: At the Intersection of Equity, Research, Policy, and Nursing Practice” according to Visit Dallas. The conference aims to highlight NBNA’s commitment to driving meaningful change in healthcare through innovation, advocacy, and evidence-based practices.
